Hi, I am a family man at heart, although I'm now single. I'm a father, an engineer, and a musician (guitarist), among other things. I'm a busy guy, so I care a lot about how I spend free time and often think about being with someone who is inspired by the same things. By the way, it's very important to me that you can enjoy what you love too. Whether or not we could have that together, I'm interested in hearing about your dreams. I am creative and not content to just sit on the sidelines, so it's important that I can maintain my interests and not let them go due to limited time. I know that families, goals, and relationships are a balancing act, and you shouldn't ignore that, if you want to be more truly happy. Believing in a strong relationship and investing yourself is a blessing and privilege, but we still have to find a balance.

I care more about the quality of key relationships than trying to maintain many, which I don't really have time for. I am somewhat introverted, but I still care greatly about knowing good people and being inspired with them. That's very important, and it enables me to be less of a quiet man and more of a passionate one. I've tried and enjoyed many activities previously in my spare time, but I am pickier than I used to be, about things that I want to do in the future. To be honest, I'm not really looking for someone who is "sort of compatible" with me, and I no longer have lots of time to experiment and find out (been there and done all that - so use your best judgment about whether you would be happy doing the same things that I like). I think it's not impossible for guys and girls to be just friends, but sometimes there's a thin line when other feelings get involved, and we both need to do the right thing (please be open with me about what's comfortable for you).

Presumably, we'll chat a while before we actually meet. So, let's improvise what we'll do next based on that. Everyone has unique passions & quirks, right? So then, why would I want to choose a "go-to" plan before knowing what makes you tick?

Even though I enjoy festive events, with music, etc, I do think it's important to have some chat time in person to get to know each other first (so I probably would not choose a concert or movie for the first date).

I know that I can't dance, but I do have decent groove/rhythm (that's a start?) I'm curious to see how well I could do with ballroom types of dancing ...I'm willing to try anyway, if you're interested ( just keep expectations realistic : )

Multiple goals for me, which include: excelling in my current career, sharing life experiences / having good relationships with my (2) kids, performing more regularly as a musician, contributing more to help people

Attending a music festival in a picturesque outdoor setting (performing is great too), where friends, family, & kids can participate too (since they can't attend clubs). I generally love outdoor activities, and spending time with a special lady in places like beaches, mountains, and parks.

A total package fulfills dreams more (for anyone) than someone shallow or one-dimensional, right? With that said, not many have "everything", so I think some traits are more important than others.

Long story short, let's say she has a wonderful heart first, good humor / playfulness next, and intelligence / thoughtfulness, to round out the package. In terms of beauty, I sincerely can see it in many colors and sizes, but inner beauty makes appearance shine even more.

Of course we all still have some preferences - I'm tall and I like girls who aren't very short next to me; a music-loving girl who appreciates my tastes is a must for me now; and a beautiful smile makes my heart skip too : )
