I am a planner who can also be spontaneous if I am asked to do something spur of the moment, so I usually keep people around me on their toes. Some days I like to stay in my pajamas, watch old movies and veg; some days I like to get out and go. I love dogs and cats and the unconditional love they give and I am passionate about animal rescue and fostering.

There are some people (very few) that are a true blessing in my life. I can be silent, chatter incessantly, laugh loud and long, giggle until I pee my pants or cry and they accept me and seem to know me without being told. Thus far in my life, I have found one or two girlfriends who I have bonded with on this level. Connecting with a man in a similar fashion has thus far eluded me. So, I'm still searching because I believe he's out there looking for me too.

I prefer quiet masculinity to overt machismo, intelligence over degrees on the wall, somewhere between a shy and aggressive personality (although both attributes are fine as long as it's not too bi-polar), humor, lightheartedness, passion about things you care about and--no matter what--be honest! I abhor liars. I like a man who is demonstrative while giving me space if I need it. A man who communicates with me--be it good or bad--and is willing to talk and listen with intent--even if he or both of us have to leave for awhile to cool down. It's not that I expect perfection or anything close; just try to do your best because that is what I try to do every day.
